Thanksgiving Praise Dinner

On Sunday, November 20th we will hold our annual Thanksgiving Praise Service at 10:00 a.m. We celebrate everything the Lord has done for us with plenty of singing and testimony. Pastor Al brings a short devotion and we all enjoy a feast afterwards. All are welcome to attend.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study

Please join us on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. We gather for a time of singing praises to our King and then enjoying a very informal time of discussing a portion of Scripture. This study is typically a verse-by-verse treatment of a Book of the Bible (currently 1 Corinthians), but occasionally we work through a specific topic or character in Scripture. Pastor Al builds the studies around a series of questions to get the discussion going and to drive home the point of the passage with a lean toward personal and practical application. You can participate or just come and listen. There is also a time of fellowship around some snacks and refreshments afterwards - we trust you will soon join us!

A Night of Praise & Prayer

Once a month we gather together for the express purpose to praise our God through song, testimony, and focus on a particular passage of Scripture about prayer. We then wrap up the evening with various forms of prayer as the Holy Spirit leads. Typically we gather on the second Friday of each month at 6:30 p.m. although this date sometimes is changed (Praise & Prayer resumes in November). Please call to confirm or visit our Sunday service for the announced schedule in our weekly bulletin.

Men's Breakfast

Saturday, November 12th, at 8:00 a.m. will be our next men's breakfast fellowship at the church. We trust you will invite your friends and join us. Trent Smith heads this ministry and always has a great topic for our discussion after our feast (which will include pancakes this month).

Ladies Fellowship

Our monthly Ladies Fellowship is scheduled for every third Saturday of the month, currently at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend. For more information please contact Ginny Copeland at 719-836-2005 or Adrienne Flavia at 719-836-3274.

Men's Retreat Coming in 2012

Our men will be heading to our first retreat in 6 years on May 17-19 at Christ Haven Lodge. More details as we get organized but mark your calendars and make plans to join us.

Puppet Ministry

Jerry Clinton and John & Julie Barlock are heading up our puppet ministry, which currently involves five young people. The puppeteers practice on Wednesday evenings while the adults have Bible study at 6:30 p.m. You can contact Jerry if you would like more information (719-836-2948).

There is currently no charge for this ministry.

You can also listen to some of the sermons online, although the most current sermons are not yet available due to some challenges with our new sound system and website software; this seemingly has been corrected and we should be able to add them soon. We will add this feature to our archive of sermons from past years as the need arises and as time allows.

Quarterly Celebration

Our recent celebration was once again a time of great fellowship, of praising God for what He has done and continues to do, and of excited discussion of things to come.

Our next celebration will be held on October 30th after the Sunday service and a fellowship luncheon. We will enjoy a feast of soup and sandwiches. The church will supply the sandwiches and beverages; you bring the soups, side dishes and desserts. You do not need to be an official member of the church to attend and participate.
